Bank transfer
The everyday way in. Free, and usually instant.
Open Add money → Bank account. The screen shows your IBAN, the BIC and the account holder name to use.
Send a SEPA transfer to that IBAN from any bank in the SEPA area. Your salary, a client payment, a transfer from your own current account — anything that can pay an IBAN can pay this one.
- Cost: free. Zold charges nothing for incoming transfers.
- Speed: SEPA Instant transfers arrive within seconds. Standard SEPA transfers arrive the same or next business day, depending on the sending bank.
- Currency: euros only. A transfer in another currency is converted by the sending bank before it arrives, at that bank's rate.
When the money lands, Monerium issues the same amount of EURe to your wallet. Your balance updates and the deposit appears in Activity with the sender's name and reference.
Being paid in dollars? That is what your US dollar account is for: a US account and routing number that takes ACH and wire directly.
Sharing your IBAN
Your IBAN is yours to give out. Put it on invoices, give it to your employer, or share it with a client. Money sent to it is yours the moment it arrives.
The account holder name is the one registered with Monerium, which is your own legal name. If a bank asks, the account is held at Monerium EMI ehf.
Reference
Anything the sender writes in the reference field is kept and shown on the deposit in Activity, so you can tell one payment from another.
