Your US dollar account
A US account number and routing number of your own. ACH and wire in, dollars held as USDC, dollars out to any US bank.
Not yet fully live. US dollar accounts are being added through Bridge and will open to eligible accounts soon. You can request one now from Accounts → Open an account → US dollar; it is recorded and opened the day the rail is ready, and you will be told in the app.
Your dollar account is the second of your global accounts. It works like the euro one: a local identifier that anyone in that country can pay, a balance held in your own wallet, and payouts on the local rail.
What you get
- A US account number and routing number in your name. Any US bank, employer or client can pay it by ACH or by domestic wire.
- A dollar balance in the same wallet as your euros, held as USDC, a fully reserved dollar stablecoin issued by Circle.
- Dollar payouts by ACH or wire to any US bank account, from your balance, at a fixed fee shown on the quote.
How it works
The account is provided by Bridge, a licensed money transmitter that issues the virtual account and settles the dollar side. When a payment reaches your account number, Bridge converts it to USDC and delivers it to your wallet. When you pay out, your USDC goes to Bridge and dollars leave to the payee's bank. Your euro account and Monerium are untouched; each account has its own provider, and each provider's identity check stands on its own.
Verification
Bridge runs its own verification before it issues an account. When you open a USD account you are taken through a short additional identity step, separate from the one you completed with Monerium. Each regulated partner must know its own customer, and neither accepts the other's check. Your organisation's Settings screen lists each verification and its status.
Moving between euros and dollars
Once both accounts are open, Convert moves money between them inside your wallet. The quote shows the mid-market rate, your rate and the margin, and you approve it with your passkey like any payment. Conversions settle in seconds and appear in Activity with the rate applied.

Who can open one
Eligibility follows Bridge's rules for the country you live in; the app tells you at the moment you request the account. US persons cannot hold a Zold account at all, so a USD account is for people and businesses outside the United States who are paid in dollars or pay in dollars.
