Assets, cost basis and reports

What you hold, what it cost you, and what it was worth at each month end.

Premium and Business. Business dashboard → Assets.

Assets

A position per asset per wallet: quantity, current value in your reporting currency, and the cost basis of what you hold.

Tax lots and cost basis

Every acquisition of an asset opens a tax lot with its date, quantity and cost. When you dispose of some of that asset, lots are consumed first in, first out and the realised gain or loss is recorded on the disposing transaction. The cost-basis method is set in Settings; FIFO is the default.

EURe acquired with euros carries a cost of exactly its face value, so a euro account produces no gains or losses on its own. Conversions, USDC deposits and imported wallets do.

Monthly balance report

Reports → Monthly balance gives closing balances for each month by wallet, network and token, with values in your reporting currency at month-end rates. Download it as CSV. Starter organisations can look back three months; paid plans have the full history.

Profit and loss

The dashboard's Recent activity panel on paid plans shows profit and loss for the period and your top assets, drawn from the same ledger.

These figures are bookkeeping, not tax advice. Your accountant decides how gains, losses and holdings are treated for your tax return; Zold gives them the numbers and the lots behind them.
