Supported countries

Who can open an account, and where money can be sent.

Two separate questions with two separate answers: where you can live to hold an account, and where you can send money to.

Holding an account

Decided at sign-up from your country of residence, your citizenships and the US-person question.

You Account
Resident in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland Full account: IBAN, euro balance, payments; card eligibility where the card issuer serves the region
Resident elsewhere, in a country our euro issuer serves Account with IBAN, euro balance and payments; no card
Resident in India Not open yet. Indian residents will be served through a collections partner rather than an on-chain euro account, because holding foreign currency on-chain is restricted under FEMA
US citizen, Green Card holder or US tax resident, wherever you live; resident of a US territory Not available
Resident or citizen of Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Russia or Belarus Not available
Resident of a country no partner serves Not available; the app says only that Zold cannot offer an account there

Companies answer the same questions for the entity: where it is incorporated, and whether any owner of 25% or more is a US person.

The list of countries our euro issuer serves is theirs and changes on their timetable. The app checks it at sign-up.
