Send money
SEPA bank transfer
Pay any IBAN in the SEPA area, in euros, from your balance.
Destination Europe, method Bank transfer.
What you need
- The payee's name.
- Their IBAN.
- Optionally, a reference of up to 140 characters. It travels with the payment and appears on their bank statement.
What happens
Your EURe is redeemed by Monerium and the euros are sent by SEPA to the payee's bank. The payment goes straight from your wallet to Monerium's redemption; Zold does not hold it on the way. Most payments arrive within seconds by SEPA Instant. Where the receiving bank does not support Instant, it arrives on the next business day.
The reference
Banks accept a restricted character set in the reference field. Zold folds what you type into it: accents are simplified (Müller becomes Muller), reserved characters are removed, and the text is cut at 140 characters. What survives is what the payee sees.
Fees
None. Zold charges nothing for a SEPA transfer, and there is no currency conversion, so no exchange-rate margin. See Fees and exchange rates.
Limits
Per-transfer and daily limits apply and are shown when you reach them.
Paying a business
If a supplier sent you an invoice through Zold, pay it from the invoice itself rather than typing the details: Payments → Invoices → Pay. The bank details come from the invoice and the reference is set for you. See Invoice-Me links.
